WnW H2O proof liquid liner review and some Before/after shots.

After reading a review from on WnW Megaliner, I decided that I should go and try it out for myself. However, I found myself in a bit of a rush and accidentally grabbed the H2O proof one instead. So, heres my opinion on it:

Rating: 3.5/5

Pros: VERY long lasting. Last week, i went swimming, surfing, sunning and other beach activities for HOURS. And this thing stayed put. Take a look at the photos below:

Also no funny smell. Cheers to that!

Cons: Hard to get off. Really hard. And a bit "sticky". I also prefer brush applicators to foam (this one is foam) so I tried using it with a eyeliner brush and the bristles got stuck together! I couldn't get them apart!

Overall: Great long-lasting liner, but I really only use it at the beach because of the texture and how hard it is to remove.

Espanol y Puerto Rico (not MU related)

I know this is a makeup blog. But I need to rant.

Communication. Its such a simple, but beautiful thing. Or should be. It should be easy to make friends. It should be easy to strike up a convo with someone new. It should be easy to to talk to my crush. Pero no lo es. Porque? Porque no hablo mucho espa~ol.

I knew it wasn't going to be easy. But when I hear about how my friends in EE UU (US) have talked to their crush or called a new friend on the phone, I get a little sad. Because I can't do those things. Because I don't know how to say them. Its so frustrating to have an opinion, but never be able to voice it. Its so annoying to be excluded from a conversation because I don't understand what's going on. Its so frustrating to not be able to be who I want to be, but rather someone I am forced to be: quiet, shy, introverted.

I can't stand it. I want to go back. I want to go home.

But back there, I am nobody. I'm not different. I'm the same as everyone else. I enjoy looking different from everyone else. I stand out a mile away. Everyone knows me, but no one talks to me.

I have no home. I feel lost, like someone floating in space with no way home.

I can't talk to my parents or friends. They won't understand. I don't get it. What do I do?

Help.

SEDU Flat Iron and Metallic Grey FOTD

Hey guys!

So, the other day, my mom and dad gave me a present. I had originally asked for it from them for Three Kings Day (here in PR the Three Kings bring the presents, not Santa, lol). Hoever, they bought it as an I'm-sorry-I-ran-over-your-foot-in-the-crappy-rental-car present, but they turned it into something a bit more positive and changed it to a good report card present (sometimes, being a nerd pays off lol). Now with the back story out of the way, I will show y'all my new baby:

OMG THIS THING IS FREAKIN' AMAZING!!!!!!!

I was able to do my entire head (which used to take at least 1hr-1.5hrs) in roughly 30 mins!!!! It got my hair soooo nice and straight but not perfectly straight (which is how I like it). The starighness hold up for ever, which I can't say about my old Conair. And it feels like butahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh when it goes through my hair. Its wonderful. Anyhow, onto the FOTD (and results of the SEDU).

What I used:
~
UDPP
Princessa automatic powder pencil in Charcoal grey all over lid.
Dark charcoal grey pigment from Claire's on top of Princessa pencil.
Light silver pigment from Claires in inner 1/3 of my lid
Jordana Fabuliner in black
Rimmel kohl pencil in black
Estee Lauder prjectionist mascara in black
~
Estee Lauder blush in Nude Rose
~
MAC lip conditioner stick in pitter patter

TADAH!!! Doesn't this thing do a good job?!?!?!

Product Look Alike: Stila Lipglaze vs. ELF Hypershine Lipgloss

Many of you have probably spotted this similarity already, but for those of you who haven't, well, this is for you.

Product Pics:

Specs: Stila- .08 fl oz; ELF-not quite sure, but I think it's roughly the same size

Price: Stila-$22; Elf-$1

MHO: I tried Stila's lipglaze a while back when I borrowed it from a friend. (Gross, I know. But I know better now.) Personally, I liked it, but there was nothing special about it (at least, nothing to make it worth $22!). Now, there's nothing really special about the ELF gloss either, but if you're looking for a good dupe (and to save some cash while you're at it!) then this is definitely it

A quick apology.

Ok, so I called this blog "the beauty bargain hunter" because I am always in search of a beauty bargain. However, I have been doing very few "bargain" posts, and that is something I want to change. Very soon, I am going to be starting 2 new "mini-series", both featuring bargain products. Let me give you guys a quick run-down:

Series # 1: EOTD Comparison: On one eye, I will use high-end/expensive products, and then on the other eye, duplicate the look using bargain products.

Series # 2: Product Look Alike: I will take an expensive product and find its bargain "look alike". (This isn't just about color though--it's mostly in the packaging and quality!!)

And, as always, I will try to make a more concerted effort to post more. TTFN!!!
